This Privacy Policy describes how the Social non-governmental organisation “Armenia for Kids” (publicly known as Yerevan for Kids) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data of visitors, donors, and contributors to the Charity Evening through armeniaforkids.am.

We take your privacy seriously. We only collect the minimum data necessary to operate as a charity and provide our services, and we never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

2.1 From donors and Charity Evening contributors

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number (only for Charity Evening contributors)
• Donation amount or contribution level and quantity
• Transaction date and reference

Card details (number, CVV, expiry date) are never collected or stored by us. Payments are processed directly by ID Bank CJSC and certified payment partners via secure VPOS infrastructure.

2.2 Technical data (automatic)

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited, time of visit, referring URL

We do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or other behavioural tracking tools on this site. Technical data is collected only in standard server logs for security and basic operational purposes.

• To process donations and issue thank-you confirmations
• To process charitable contributions and deliver complimentary invitations to the Charity Evening by email
• To communicate with donors and supporters about the playground project and the charity evening
• To comply with Armenian tax and accounting law (record retention)
• To respond to your questions, feedback, or requests

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the Republic of Armenia Law “On Personal Data Protection”:

• Consent — when you donate, contribute to the Charity Evening, or subscribe to updates
• Consent and donor request — to send donation confirmations, event-related communications, and complimentary invitations where applicable
• Legal obligation — tax records, financial reporting
• Legitimate interest — basic site security and operational logs

5. Sharing with third parties

We share your data only with the following processors, strictly for the purposes described above:

• ID Bank CJSC — for processing card payments via VPOS
• reArmenia — if you donate via the reArmenia crowdfunding platform; their privacy policy applies in that case
• EventHub or another authorised third-party platform — where applicable, if the donor chooses to make a contribution or register for the Charity Evening through such platform
• Netlify, Inc. — website hosting (server logs are stored on their infrastructure)
• State authorities of the Republic of Armenia — only when required by law (tax authority, court orders)

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We never share it with advertisers.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for the period required by applicable Armenian law:

• Donation and contribution records: 5 years from the date of transaction (tax and accounting requirement)
• Email correspondence: 2 years from last interaction
• Server logs: 30 days

After these periods, data is securely deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the Republic of Armenia Law “On Personal Data Protection” you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Withdraw consent to processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of the Republic of Armenia

8. Data security

• The entire site is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Strict security headers are enforced (HSTS, Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, and others)
• Card payments are processed via certified VPOS infrastructure — we never see or store your card details
• Access to personal data within our team is restricted to those who need it for their role

9. Cookies

This site does not use marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. Only strictly necessary technical cookies may be set by the hosting provider for security purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting your ability to use the site.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us at yerevanforkids@gmail.com and we will delete it immediately.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated to active donors by email.
